Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December 1991. The father of Manny James along with Patty James of mixed race. The mother of Manny James is caucasian while his father is Nigerian. In 2010, he graduated at Sanderson High School and furthered into Wake Forest University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Economics in the year 2015. James became famous when his appearance on The Bachelorette as a reality TV celebrity. James was selected in the year 2020 as the new bachelor on The Bachelor season 25, becoming the show's initial African American male star. The show premiered later in the year. James seemed to be the perfect match to be the role because he has an attractive, well-rounded, large-bodied personality. The show ended when he chose Rachael Krkconnell to pursue an affair with the actress. He joined forces with well-known professional dancer Arnold in 2021 and competed in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold placed 12th.
